The Community Spectro-polarimetric Analysis Center
About CSAC

The Community Spectro-Polarimetric Analysis Center (CSAC) is a National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) Strategic Initiative that provides a suite of community resource tools for analysis of the precision polarization data for remote sensing of magnetic fields in the solar atmosphere. The tools provided range from those used for data reduction and calibration through those which extract measures of the magnetic field vector (and associated thermodynamic properties) from the observed data and finally to those which allow the user to display and manipulate the derived vector magnetic fields.

A link to the AutoAmbig azimuth resolution code by Leka, Barnes and Crouch was added to the Spectro-Polarimetric Data Visualization Tools page.

Hinode Spectro-polarimeter data inversions are being processed using the MERLIN inversion code on a multiple-processor machine cluster. Data is being processed as soon as it becomes available.

Downloads of Level 1 and 2 Hinode SP data are now available.

MERLIN version 3.0.2 now available for download.
